Overview
Description: In 2001 APS were commissioned to design a new administration building for Peterhouse Boys School.
Challenge: In consultation with the school it was agreed that the main challenge was that there was no clear entrance or administrative area, obvious to parents and visitors alike.
Solution: A new entrance was envisioned linking the existing chapel with the proposed new administrative area. New courtyards framed by walkways gave the the administrative zone cohesion and integration within the great school complex. Locally quarried stone was used to great effect to tie the new addition and extension with the older buildings made with the same material.
